Hokie Nation is a documentary about the unique culture of Virginia Tech football fans, a culture defined not only by the immense size of the fan base, but also the unlikely mix of an inviting, hospitable environment, friendly people, and a rabid intensity that pushes devotion to the limits of the definition. It's pretty cool. Hokie Nation is being directed and produced by Chris Valluzzo and Sean Kotz (pictured below), for Horse Archer Productions, their Southwest Virginia based production company. While LookSharp! is not directly involved in the production, Jack Bennett is one of the guys shooting and editing the flick. Even if he wasn't, we'd still plug for Sean and Chris; they're great guys with a great approach to film production, and the doc has real promise. If you're a fan of Virginia Tech, football in general, documentaries, or just have a curiosity about fandom, be sure to check out the flick... |
